We are excited to share that our Portland location recently received its 500th Google review.
We are proud to reach this milestone, and we are already looking toward 600.
The Story Is in the Details
The reviews that mean the most to us aren’t necessarily the longest or the most polished. They’re the ones that show how much the little things matter.
A technician takes an extra minute to explain why something needs to be done. A project manager keeps the customer informed when the job gets complicated. A crew treats a damaged house, and everything still inside it, like it matters.
The reviews that stay with us usually name members of our team, and describe decisions, conversations, and small moments that stuck with the customer long after the work was done.
We don’t have to look far back to find them. These were all shared recently:
“I cannot say enough great things about Eli and his team at Oregon Restoration. From day one, they were professional, courteous, and incredibly respectful of both my home and personal belongings. During a very stressful water damage situation, their professionalism and attention to detail gave me confidence that everything was being handled correctly.”
— Michelle G.
“My project was a hard one to navigate and ended up including asbestos abatement along with serious demo and cleanup work. It was one of the most stressful experiences I’ve been through and David, my remediation project manager, made me feel like I could trust it would all be worth it despite the twists and turns. It is invaluable to treat customers with the utmost understanding, compassion, and consistent communication during an overwhelming, life altering, super expensive experience, and David went above and beyond in this respect.”
— Julie D.The project manager Jake has been totally an exceptionally amazing staying in constant communication with every detail of the job. The technicians, Logan, Shelby, Tony, Eli, Bobby, Sebastian have done an outstanding professional job up to this point. Their customer service skills are beyond measure. They took time to answer all their questions and actually show compassion for this disaster. They were experts in their trade
— May J.
Our customers rarely plan on hiring us. They reach out in the middle of a property loss they did not see coming, often in the middle of the night. Their lives have been disrupted, and they may be forced out of their home. The questions they have don’t come with clear or immediate answers.
When someone is going through that, the way they’re treated matters just as much as the equipment. That’s the part they remember, and the part they write about later. Those moments come down to the person standing there: whether they listen, think it through, explain what’s happening, and choose to help.
Why Reviews Matter So Much
When you’re comparing restoration companies, the star rating and the total number of reviews are a reasonable place to start.
But let’s be honest: reviews can be manipulated. Despite Google’s rules, companies will offer discounts in exchange for reviews, or ask friends and family. That pads the count and the overall score fast.
You can tell when a review is real. It says more than “great service, highly recommend.” It names names. It describes how the company handled things when the job got hard, and how they communicated when the answers weren’t easy.
Our reviews give you something no credential or certification can: an account of what it’s actually like to work with us. We’re proud to have earned that feedback, and to know that in those moments, we lived up to the trust our customers placed in us.
Our Review Momentum
From 2021 through 2024, our Portland location averaged approximately 62 Google reviews per year.
In 2025, that total increased to 97 reviews, nearly 60% above the previous four-year average.
In 2026, Portland is currently on pace to receive approximately 140 reviews. That would be 40% more than last year and double our earlier annual average.
The Portland milestone is part of a larger record. Across Oregon Restoration’s three locations, customers have left a combined 669 five-star reviews on the platforms people use to research restoration companies, including Google, Facebook, Yelp, Angi, and the Better Business Bureau.
Thank You
To every customer who took the time to write a review: thank you.
You gave the next customer something meaningful to consider while making a difficult decision. You helped us recognize employees whose good work might otherwise have happened quietly. You also showed us what we need to protect as we grow and where we still have room to do better.
To every Oregon Restoration employee whose work earned that feedback: thank you.
A customer’s experience is rarely defined by one person or one moment. It is shaped by everyone who touches the project choosing to do the work properly and take care of the person on the other end.
A five-star review does not necessarily mean that nothing went wrong. Often it means we stayed accountable when something did. It means the team communicated honestly, kept working through the problem, and did what it could to make things right. It means the customer felt heard and respected. That is what taking care of customers means to us.
Our customers are the reason we get to do this work. Their trust is what lets us employ talented people, invest in training and equipment, and continue serving the communities where we live.
We do not take that trust lightly.
Five hundred is the milestone. What customers wrote in 500 reviews is the accomplishment.
