Oregon Restoration was once again named one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon by Oregon Business. This marks the eighth consecutive year we’ve been included on the list.
This year, we ranked #11 among medium-sized companies (35–99 employees), up one spot from last year, with a score of 609.77 based on employee survey results.
The ranking is based on an independent process that evaluates employee feedback across categories like work environment, management, trust, career development, and benefits.
Where Oregon Restoration Stands Out
Across nearly every category measured, Oregon Restoration performed at or above the average of other medium-sized companies. A few areas stood out more clearly, and showed up not just in the scores, but in how employees described their day-to-day experience.
Career Development & Growth
One of the clearest themes in the feedback was growth. Our team members described opportunities to advance, take on more responsibility, and build a long-term career.
“I have been with this company for over a year, and in that time, it has given me multiple opportunities for growth and experience. My voice is heard and listened to as we grow, and we continue to improve as a team.”
“There are opportunities for growth if you show yourself to be a hard worker, which can’t be said for many workplaces.”
Teamwork & Support
In a fast-paced environment like property damage restoration, teamwork and support matter. Team members stepping in to support each other helps prevent small issues from becoming bigger ones.
“Everyone works hard, everyone is busy, and yet people still help each other out. You see it in the field crews jumping in on tough jobs, the office trying to keep things moving, and the way people solve problems together.”
“The culture is built on trust, open communication, and a shared sense of purpose. Collaboration feels natural, and everyone has the freedom to bring their best ideas forward. It’s the kind of environment where you’re not just part of a team, you’re part of a community.”
Pride in Our Work
Another consistent theme was how employees think about the work itself—not as tasks to complete, but as problems to solve the right way.
“It feels good to be around people who genuinely care about the work and about each other.”
“What sets us apart is the culture: coworkers who help each other, leaders who step in instead of stepping over, and a shared commitment to doing the work right the first time.”
Support from Leadership
We also performed strongly in areas related to trust and decision-making. Employees described being able to communicate with leadership, share input, and be part of the process.
“It’s normal to have conversations with upper management. I feel like opinions here are heard and not immediately dismissed.”
“I’ve been to many restoration companies, and nothing compares to the way they care and treat employees here.”
Putting Customers First
A final clear theme in the results was the shared importance of the customer experience.
“From the people in the field to the owners, there is a strong culture of taking care of our customers and taking care of our people. The team shares a mission, and leadership drives the importance of that mission.”
“First and foremost, Oregon Restoration aims to make sure all of its customers are happy and taken care of.”

What This Means to Us
When Ryan Gilyeat founded Oregon Restoration in 2008, the goal wasn’t to win awards. It was to build a place where people could take ownership of their work, improve over time, and do the job the right way.
That approach has shaped how we’ve grown by focusing on the fundamentals: investing in people, building experience, and holding a consistent standard.
Like any growing company, we’re continuing to improve how we support our team and how we take care of our customers.
The recognition from Oregon Business reflects that progress, but it’s not the objective.
We’re proud of this recognition, but more importantly, we’re proud of the standard.
