Ryan Gilyeat, a lifelong Oregonian, brings over 25 years of experience in the restoration industry. As the first IICRC Master Water Restorer in Portland, Ryan holds multiple certifications, including Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, and Applied Microbial Remediation, along with RRP and AHERA compliance for asbestos handling. In 2008, he founded Oregon Restoration with a vision to provide high-quality restoration services while fostering a supportive workplace culture. Under his leadership, the company has grown to become Oregon’s largest independent restoration provider.
Ryan’s commitment to excellence and leadership was recognized in 2024 when he, alongside Director of Finance & HR Lourdes Zazueta, received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Director’s Award for Excellence. His dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction continues to drive Oregon Restoration’s success, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the restoration industry.
Lourdes Zazueta serves as the backbone of Oregon Restoration’s operations, ensuring the company runs efficiently while fostering a positive workplace culture. With a Master’s degree in Business and Human Resources, Lourdes expertly balances strategic financial oversight with a focus on employee well-being, creating an environment where both the team and the company thrive.
Her leadership has been instrumental in Oregon Restoration’s recognition as one of the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Oregon for five consecutive years. Eugene Hicks is the Chief Operating Officer of Oregon Restoration, overseeing company-wide operations and strategic growth. With over 22 years of experience in the restoration industry, he has owned and managed multiple restoration companies, specializing in mitigation, reconstruction, and business operations. Before joining Oregon Restoration, Eugene was the principal of Declaration Consulting Group, where he advised restoration businesses on strategy, efficiency, and industry best practices. His leadership ensures Oregon Restoration delivers exceptional service across all markets.
With 25 years of experience in construction, Kirk Swan serves as the General Manager at Oregon Restoration, overseeing project coordination, profitability, and scheduling operations. His leadership ensures that every project aligns with the company’s goals and is completed efficiently, meeting Oregon Restoration’s high standards for quality and customer service.
Kirk plays a critical role in maintaining the overall health of operations, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. By fostering seamless coordination between departments, he helps the team deliver consistent, reliable service to clients.

Kenny Thompson has over seven years of experience at Oregon Restoration, where he now serves as the Bend Branch Manager. Starting as a mitigation technician, Kenny quickly demonstrated his leadership and expertise, advancing to project manager before taking on his current role. Recently, he celebrated managing his 1,000th restoration project.
Kenny’s expertise spans residential, commercial, and multifamily restoration, and he holds several industry-leading certifications, including IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying (ASD), and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT). His specialized skills in mold remediation are further strengthened by his CSMI certification, representing advanced proficiency in assessing and mitigating mold issues.

Kenny’s leadership ensures that the Bend branch delivers the same level of excellence, supporting community associations and clients across Central Oregon.
Melanie Doblander brings over 11 years of restoration industry experience to her role as Production Administration Manager at Oregon Restoration. For the past five years, she has been the first point of contact for many clients, ensuring a smooth and reassuring start to the restoration process.
Melanie handles scheduling, troubleshooting, and customer communications, often calming clients during high-stress situations. She also oversees the administrative side of operations, ensuring accurate documentation for billing and acting as a liaison between accounting and field teams. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that all necessary documentation is complete before final audits, streamlining the restoration process.

Curtis Rothenberger brings over two decades of experience in both mitigation and reconstruction to his role as Commercial Reconstruction Manager at Oregon Restoration. Specializing in commercial, retail, and industrial projects, Curtis manages large-scale reconstruction efforts with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
With a deep understanding of both sides of the restoration process, Curtis works to minimize downtime for businesses, ensuring projects stay on schedule, on budget, and meet the highest quality standards. His organized approach and clear communication help clients get back to full operations as quickly as possible.

Ben Worsley brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, branding, and digital strategy to his role as Marketing Manager at Oregon Restoration. Ben studied visual communications at Chemeketa Community College and has a degree from Willamette University, and has led award-winning graphic design projects and spearheaded major web development initiatives. Before joining Oregon Restoration, he ran his own design company for six years and worked at Masterplans, a business planning consulting firm, where he helped startups develop go-to-market strategies and fundraising collateral. At Oregon Restoration, Ben is responsible for digital marketing and branding, ensuring the company’s presence effectively reaches homeowners, businesses, and industry partners across Oregon.
Carolina Salles is part of Oregon Restoration’s Business Development team, specializing in client management for property managers and commercial partners. She joined the company in 2025 after working with DRYmedic Restoration of Portland, and previously founded Quantom Vox, a digital marketing firm. A graduate of Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Communications, Carolina is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She has built a reputation for building strong relationships and delivering results that support client needs and long-term partnerships.
Mike Hotchkiss joined Oregon Restoration part-time in 2024 after a 41-year career as an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance, where he owned and operated the Michael Hotchkiss Insurance Agency in Gladstone, Oregon. In his semi-retirement, Mike enjoys time with his grandchildren and relaxing at his cabin in Blue River. His extensive insurance background and long-standing relationships in the community bring valuable insight and connection to the Oregon Restoration team.
Judy Butz is a Client Success Advocate at Oregon Restoration, specializing in building partnerships with insurance agents. She brings over 20 years of experience as a marketing representative and has been part of the Oregon Restoration team since 2019. Before joining Oregon Restoration, Judy worked in a similar role at Servpro of Tigard/Tualatin and spent more than 25 years as a property claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance Group. She holds a degree from Portland State University and is known for her deep industry knowledge, relationship-building skills, and commitment to supporting agents and their policyholders throughout the restoration process.
